Even though I don't have a podcast, I still look at the press conferences for Microsucks and Sorny. I don't really watch the one for Nintendo, because in general, all they ever talk about is another Mario Kart/ Party (with an added feature for Chump Rope)/ Universe game or another Zelda Wind Raker/ Ocarania of Time travel game. And don't get me wrong, I do still like both Mario and Zelda, but it comes a point where it's like wrap it up!
In all fairness they'll probably throw Bayonetta 2 out there as well. I still don't understand how or why Platinum Games decided to abandon all the other consoles and throw their hat into the sinking ship that is Wii U with the Bayonetta sequel?! I mean, I could see maybe doing a special version of it for Wii U or something, maybe add an additional level and a special powers, but the whole game?! Come on now! I loved Bayonetta (I was playing it last Sunday), but I don't know if it has a strong enough following that people are going to go out of their way to buy a Wii U for it. I know I wouldn't, and again, I loved playing Bayonetta.
Aside from that, you know what I'm most looking forward to... A brand spanking new Evil Within trailer, and/ or playable demo. And not a rehash of last two trailers either. I'm talking a brand spanking new trailer with some prerendered cut-scenes and some gameplay, and maybe a little something to further elaborate on the plot, because in watching the last trailer there was a lot that was left unexplained. I mean, really if I have to wait to know what the game is about then I'm fine with waiting, but I'd rather know a little something extra. I think I'll be really REALLY disappointed if there's no new Evil Within stuff going around. It's bad enough the release date has been pushed back, I really don't want to have no new information either.
Other than that, I don't really have any expectations of E3. Microsucks will trot out the dead horse that is Gears of Blor 50 while Sorny trots out another Uncharted game... So I'm not really expecting anything great to come out of the press conferences this year. I'll just watch them to watch them.
